JIWON HUH

Born in South Korea, I am a passionate cellist with international experience as a performer and educator. My musical journey began with the piano at the age of five, and I found my true passion for the cello at the age of ten. Since then, music has led me across the world. As a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer, I have appeared at international festivals in Austria, Poland, Korea, and the USA. In Korea, I was a member of the Daegu Opera House Orchestra for eight years and taught at Gyeongbuk Arts High School. I also led the Daegu Genius Youth Orchestra, guiding young musicians to perform at world-renowned venues such as Lincoln Center in New York and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. While in Austria, I served as principal cellist of the Feldkirch City Orchestra and performed at the Weinberg Castle International Chamber Music Festival. I am currently based between Switzerland and Munich, performing with the Concentus Rivensis Orchestra in Walenstadt. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from Keimyung University in Daegu, and a Master’s degree from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
